The legless, wheelchair-bound dancer, Vinod Thakur, who rose to fame with reality shows, Nach Baliye 6 and India’s Got Talent, collapsed while on his way to the Gateway of India.
According to Spotboye, Vinod was rushed to the Raksha Hospital at Malad and admitted to ICU in a critical condition.
Vinod Thakur started his journey on his wheelchair on 18 March from India Gate at Delhi covering almost 1500 kms on wheelchair in a span of 40 days. He was originally scheduled to reach Gateway of India in Mumbai on 30th April.[ecp code=”4″]
Reports are that he is currently suffering from severe dehydration, low BP, irregular heartbeat and other medical issues due the strain and is undergoing treatment.
If latest reports are to be believed, his condition has deteriorated. He has suffered a mild heart attack and has been put on a ventilator.
Thakur is a dancer, performer and stunt master and also plays wheelchair cricket. He was attempting a Guinness World Record in association with the Nevada Putnan Foundation of Mumbai for the longest wheelchair journey.
