Late actors Sridevi and Shashi Kapoor to be honoured at New York Indian Film Festival 2018!

Bollywood legendary actors Shashi Kapoor and Sridevi who passes away recently featured will be remembered at the New York Indian Film Festival. The event will be held from May 7-12.

Shashi Kapoor, star of Merchant-Ivory films such as The Householder, will be honoured with the screenings of Shakespeare Wallah and Heat and Dust, reports variety.com.

The fest will also hold a Merchant-Ivory retrospective that also includes the screening of “Autobiography of a Princess”, starring Madhur Jaffrey. To honour Sridevi, her 2012 hit “English Vinglish”, which was mainly set in New York, will be screened.

Sridevi passes away due to the accidental drowning in Dubai on February 24, 2018. She was 54. The actress was in Dubai to attend her nephew’s Mohit Marwah’s wedding. The actress was one of the famous actress of Hindi Cinema. She ruled the hearts of millions. Her sudden death was a huge shock for her family and her industry colleagues.

While, Shashi Kapoor breathed his last at Kolkilaben Ambani Hospital on December 4, 2017.  The 79-year-old actor passed away after a prolonged illness. Shashi Kapoor had been suffering from a kidney ailment and had been undergoing dialysis. Mr Kapoor had been in a wheelchair for years.

Nia Sharma is back with her bold avatar in the first poster of her web series Twisted 2!

Television actress Nia Sharma who became the third sexiest Asian woman is back with the sequel of her popular web series Twisted.

The actress raised the temperature with her bold avatar in season 1 of Twisted plays a model Aaliya in the web series. She also gave some steamy scenes with her co-star, Namit Khanna in the first series.

The show produced by Vikram Bhatt and JioCinema will be premiering on the recently launched OTT platform, VB on The Web on April 25. The second shooting schedule of the show is currently underway in Mumbai.

Nia also revealed her looks from this season and as usual she nails her look.

Speaking about collaborating on the second season , Nia said, “Twisted 1 came as a game changer for me since it was my move from TV to web and also in a completely changed avatar which was tough for me as well. I never thought of myself as a glamorous girl or never thought that I’d ever pull off a character like Aliyah Mukherji. But it gave me a lot of confidence after it released. Now with Twisted 2 , I feel more confident, more glamours, more experimental in terms of Aliyah’s looks and I’m extremely elated that the story also is so much more deep and impactful than last time… this is a series and a character that will not be written for me each time I go out to find projects. So I’m going to give it my all.”

Twisted 2 this time will tell the story of Aliya Mukherji who is framed in the murder of her boyfriend Vinod.  Enter Aaryan, but this time he is an ex-cop and an alcoholic scarred by his diminishing career. He is vengeful and wants to get back at Aliyah for tricking him the first time around but this time there is no law holding him back, it is going to be fair means if possible and foul means if necessary! Now the two are on a quest to prove the other wrong and the plot progresses with more twisted turns and suspense than the first part.

Cousins Taimur Ali Khan and Inaaya Kemmu enjoys a day out with family at Amrita Arora’s residence, see pics

Cousins Taimur Ali Khan and Inaaya Naumi are one of the babies of the tinsel town. The star kids who have been making headlines ever since their birth, were recently captured by a shutterbugs along with their parents.

Yesterday, Taimur along with mommy Kareena and father Saif headed to Bebo’s BFF Amrita Arora’s Bandra residence for a get together. The Khan trio was accompanied by Soha Ali Khan, Kunal Kemmu and their little princess Inaaya.

From the terrace of the house, they all posed for few pictures for the shutterbugs. Saif and Soha’s sister Saba can also be seen in the pictures on the left.

In the picture, you can see Inaaya nestled in her mother Soha Ali Khan’s arms and Taimur again grabbed the limelight as he was captured shirtless in his father Saif Ali Khan’s arms.

After releasing the first poster of Salman Khan as Sikander, now the makers of Race 3 has released a new poster featuring Jacqueline Fernandez.

In the pic, the actress is seen sporting a black outfit and pointing the gun fiercely at the screen is seen. The actress is seen all in her action avatar.

The actress will be seen as Jessica in the film. While introducing Jacky, Salman took to Twitter and wrote, “Jessica: Raw power . #Race3 #Race3ThisEid @Asli_Jacqueline @SKFilmsOfficial @TipsOfficial”.

Helmed by Remo D’Souza, Race 3, the third instalment of the franchise will also stars Anil Kapoor,Salman Khan, Bobby Deol, Saqib Saleem and Daisy Shah in pivotal roles.

Aamir Khan replaces Ranveer Singh as a brand ambassador of VIVO India!

China’s smart phone company Vivo on Monday announced Bollywood actor Aamir Khan as its new brand ambassador for India. 

The 53-year old actor has replaced Ranveer Singh who was the face of the smartphone brand for the last two years. Singh and Vivo ended their association mutually in February.

“We are thrilled about the possibilities that our partnership with one of the world’s biggest superstars, Aamir Khan, will open up for Vivo in India. He mirrors the values of versatility, perfection and innovation that we steadfastly follow at Vivo. This new association will enable us to explore newer avenues to reach our customers as we script our future growth strategy in India,” said Kenny Zeng, chief marketing officer, Vivo India, in a statement.

The makers also posted the final teaser of his official unveiling as Vivo’s new brand ambassador. The caption reads, “He’s a man who always does more than what’s expected of him. Meet the new face of Vivo. Welcome to the family @aamir_khan. #MadeForMore #AamirWithVivo”

Aamir will soon be seen in a full-fledged marketing campaign around the upcoming products and a new TV commercial.

The announcement comes ahead of Vivo’s planned launch of the V9 smartphone on March 23 in India.

Industry sources told IANS that the latest device will be priced around Rs 25,000 and will feature a dual rear camera setup and a 24MP selfie camera.

Vivo V9 will come with iPhone X-like notch and primary camera setup and a “FullView” display, informed sources added.

Meanwhile on the work front, Aamir is currently shooting for his upcoming film Thugs Of Hindostan in Jodhpur. The film is slated to release this Diwali.

Talking to Rani, Ajay revealed, “When I had started out in the industry, there was this huge buzz that he is a very ordinary looking guy and he won’t make it. He won’t become a hero. I used to hear all of that, and it felt like a Hichki. But finally I didn’t listen to any of that and went ahead (with my acting).”

“So, the best part was that – don’t bother about the hichki but make it your inspiration,” added the actor.

Hichki will mark Rani Mukherji’s return to cinema after three years. She plays the role of Naina Mathur who has a nervous system disorder, Tourette Syndrome that forces an individual to make involuntary repetitive movements or sounds.

Irrfan Khan shares first picture from London with an inspirational poem!

Bollywood actor Irrfan Khan recently revealed that he is suffering from NeuroEndocrine Tumour. In his statement on Twitter, he also revealed that he is going out of the country to undergo treatment and hopes to return with new stories.

The actor is currently in London undergoing treatment and now he shared his first picture from there.

Irrfan shared an inspirational poem on Instagram with a photo of his reflection. He also made it clear that he is in the UK for treatment, not the US as assumed earlier.

He captioned the pic as, “God speaks to each of us as he makes us, then walks with us silently out of the night. These are the words we dimly hear: You, sent out beyond your recall, go to the limits of your longing. Embody me.n Flare up like a flame and make big shadows I can move in. Earlier, after revealing that he has a ‘rare disease’, Irrfan Khan on Friday revealed that he is suffering from Neuroendocrine Tumour.

“The unexpected makes us grow, which is what the past few days have been about. Learning that I have been diagnosed with NeuroEndocrine Tumour as of now has admittedly been difficult, but the love and strength of those around me and that I found within me has brought me to a place of hope. The journey of this is taking me out of the country, and I request everyone to continue sending their wishes. As for the rumours that were floated NEURO is not always about the brain and googling is the easiest way to do research ? To those who waited for my words, I hope to be back with more stories to tell.” he wrote.

 Neuroendocrine tumours are abnormal growths that begin in specialized cells called neuroendocrine cells. Neuroendocrine cells have traits similar to nerve cells and to hormone-producing cells. Neuroendocrine tumours are rare and can occur anywhere in the body. Most neuroendocrine tumours occur in the lungs, appendix, small intestine, rectum and pancreas. Neuroendocrine tumours can be noncancerous (benign) or cancerous (malignant). Diagnosis and treatment of neuroendocrine tumours depend on the type of a tumour, its location, whether it produces excess hormones, how aggressive it is and whether it has spread to other parts of the body.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Irrfan will soon be seen in his upcoming film Blackmail, which is slated to release on April 6, 2018.

If reports are to be believed, the couple ties the knot on March 12 in the presence of some of the close friends and family members.

Alia Bhatt injures her shoulder while shooting for ‘Brahmastra’

Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt who is currently shooting for her upcoming film ‘Brahmastra’ has injured her shoulder while shooting for an action sequence.

The actress injured her right arm and shoulder during this. The actress is currently in Bulgaria  where she is shooting for Ayan Mukerji’s film opposite Ranbir Kapoor.

The actress has reportedly been advised bed rest and may not be able to work for 15 days.

According to sources, “The team was shooting for a scene when Alia fell and hurt herself. She has injured her right shoulder and arm. There’s a clot on her arm, so she has been advised bed rest. She is in a lot of pain. Her right arm is bandaged and held up in a sling, so she can’t exert it or her shoulder for the next 15 days.”

Brahmastra’s official spokesperson confirmed about Alia’s injury to Mumbai Mirror. The spokesperson was quoted saying, “Yes, on Saturday, Alia injured her shoulder while filming an action sequence. The schedule has been tough and challenging on several levels and this accident has set us back by two days. However, our highest priority is Alia’s recovery. She has been advised minimal movement of the arm which means she cannot resume filming her action sequences in the near future to prevent any further trauma to her shoulder.”

Brahmastra is a fantasy adventure film where Ranbir apparently plays a superhero. The film also features Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy.
