Actor Sathyaraj who plays Katappa in Baahubali series finally APOLOGISES to the Kannadigas for the controversial statement he made against them with regard to the Cauvery River issue nine years back.

He has not only apologised for the same but also requested the Kannadiga pressure groups to not stall the release of SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus, Baahubali: The Conclusion. He said, “I have got to know that what I had spoken during the Cauvery water crisis has created a lot of tension among the people of Karnataka. I am not against Kannadigas or Karnataka. The biggest example for this is that for the last 35 years my assistant has been Shekar who is a Kannadiga. I would like to apologise for the statement that I had made nine years back and would like to say that I am a small worker in Bahubali film and my comment should not affect the film. I appeal to Tamils to understand.”

 [ecp code=”4″]

Earlier today S S Rajamouli too made an emotional plea in a video to the Kannadigas to not resent Baahubali 2.  “We understand that the comments he made hurt the sentiments of many of our friends but we would like to say that it’s his individual opinion and would request you to understand that the Baahubali producers and I do not reflect the same opinion.” he said.

For the uninitiated, A group ‘Kannada Okkota’ had released a statement recently that if Sathyaraj does not apologise to the statements made against the Kannadigas, they will announce a bandh on April 28, the release date of Baahubali. The statement read, “The remarks made by Sathyaraj against Kannadigas during the Cauvery row (a few years ago) had crossed limits of decency. We will not allow the film to be released under any circumstances. There is no scope for the release unless and until Sathyaraj tenders an unconditional apology. The exhibitors will have to bear the consequences if they venture to screen the film.”

Well, now Sathyaraj finally apologies for his comment. Now, we hope they will allow Baahubali 2 to release in Karnataka.

Dalljiet Kaur becomes a victim of ATM fraud!

[ads1]

Television actress Dalljiet Kaur who returned from a trip to Indonesia, recently has become a victim of ATM fraud. The night after her return, Dalljiet got a message alert notifying that an amount of Rs 50,000 has been withdrawn from her account through five different transactions.

The small screen actress checked for her debit card instantly to see if it got misplaced and got in the hands of some wrong person. But was startled to see that she still had the card and wondered how someone got access to her bank account.

 [ecp code=”4″]

In a panicked state, she called the bank, who in turn informed her to file a FIR for further investigation. Dalljiet approached the police and filed a complaint with them on Monday.

She says, “When I got up in the morning, I realised that five withdrawals of `10,000 each had been made at an ATM in Lonavala, the previous night. Initially, I thought that I had lost my debit card, which wasn’t the case. Finally, the bank figured that someone had cloned my card. Now, a police complaint has been lodged and investigation is on. Every penny counts and this is a huge amount for me, especially when I budget all my expenses. The fact that technology has advanced so much is helpful, but it is rendering us vulnerable at the same time.”

[ads1]

After Karisma Kapoor’s ex-husband Sunjay Kapur tied the knot with his girlfriend Priya Sachdev in Delhi last week, in a hush-hush affair, with only family and close friends in attendance, there is speculation now whether his ex-wife Karisma Kapoor will also soon tie the knot with her beau Sandeep Toshniwal.

The duo have been spotted together on various occasions, even at the private Kapoor Khandaan get-togethers. With all this happening so fast, reports started doing the round that the adorable couple would get married and settle down pretty soon.

 [ecp code=”4″]

However, the actress father, Randhir Kapoor dismissed reports that Lolo is getting married.

While talking to DNA After Hrs, Randhir Kapoor revealed, “I think Lolo is very well settled and happy. I have never discussed the issue of marriage with her but if she does plan to, she will always have my blessings. But I don’t think she wants to get married. She is a happy mother and if she wants, she can get married any time but there is no step in that direction right now. She is happy the way she is. Lolo is an excellent mother who dotes on her children and probably doesn’t feel the need to get married. Kareena too is very settled today and Saif has kept her very happy. He is a wonderful son-in-law and a fine man.”

Meanwhile, Karisma’s ex husband – Sunjay Kapur got married to his girlfriend Priya Sachdev recently. The two had an intimate wedding followed with a lavish reception.

Dhanush wins case against Madurai couple who claimed to be his parents!

[ads1]

Megastar Rajinikanth’s son-in-law Dhanush was dragged to court by an elderly couple who claimed Dhanush is their son. Well, the actor is finally a relieved man as the case has been dismissed by the Madurai bench of the Madras High Court.

In November last year, the couple, Kathiresan and Meenakshi, had claimed that Dhanush was their son who ran away from a hostel when he was in Class 11 and wanted him to pay a monthly maintenance of Rs. 65,000. They had produced a class 10 certificate to back up their case, which included the identification marks.

 [ecp code=”4″]

They also claimed that he had two birth marks which he allegedly removed via suegery. Following this, he was asked by the ciurt to attend the medical examination.

The actor’s lawyers, however, say this is an attempt to extract money from him.

However, after all this long tiring journey, Dhanush can finally rest now as he has gained victory against them.

On the professional work front, Dhanush will next be seen in the movie Velaiilla Pattadhari 2 opposite Kajol.

Watch: SS Rajamouli appeals to Kannada fans not to ban ‘Baahubali 2’ due to Sathyaraj!

[ads1]

Baahubali 2 is currently in the the chaos because of the statement made by Sathyaraj aka Katappa. Owing to Sathyaraj‘s controversial statement over the Cauvery issue, 2000 Kannada organisation have pledged to boycott the latest Baahubali 2 release in Karnataka.

For the same, the group has demanded Sathyaraj to apologise to Kannadigas before the release of the film.

Now SS Rajamouli, the director of the magnum Opus has come out to appeal to all the Kannadigas.

Hello everyone, I do not know Kannada very well. I f I say something wrong please forgive me. My producers and me would like to give out a clarification regarding Sathyaraj’s controversy. Some years back he had made some comments which had hurts some of your sentiments. However, we have no relation with these comments. It was Sathyaraj’s personal opinion.”

 [ecp code=”4″]

“We had no idea about this issue until we saw this on social media a month back. It has been nine years since he made this comments and ever since he has acted and directed several movies which have released in Karnataka. Baahubali part 1 also had released. The way you’ve showed your love and support for it, we would request you to lend the same support to Baahubali 2.” he added.

He further added “Satyaraj is neither the producer nor the director of this film, he’s one amongst the many artists who feature in this film. Even if you stall the release of this film he will not be affected. Because of his individual comments to hold a grudge against the rest and the film wouldn’t be fair is what we believe. We’ve also explained the situation to Mr Satyaraj as well. But beyond that we have no control, we have no connection with this episode. And I request you all to kindly not associate us with this controversy. We will always want you to love us and heartfelt thanks. It seems like the netertianment industry has become a soft target for political parties, who isntead of tackling the real issue want to promote themselves in the process.”

Well, that was quite a heartwarming step taken by the maker of the magnum opus. We hope that the fans in Karnataka let bygones be bygones and allow the film to release on the said date.

The film is slated to release on April 28.
