In an interview with Spotboye, he said that he got to know about Rakesh’s cancer from Hrithik’s tweet and had met Rakesh Roshan two months back at a wedding function and he seemed extremely fine and in good health. He said that he is equally surprised to know about this.

Amod Mehra also said that Rakesh Roshan had a habit of smoking and his wife Pinky Roshan always used to urge him to quit smoking. Despite this, the director used to smoke secretly. Amod prays for his speedy recovery.
