Sameera Reddy reveals she was in depression
Sameera has been very active on social media during her second pregnancy. Recently, she tried the ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on her Instagram handle wherein she shared a lot of things. When one of her fans questioned her, “Your biggest failure and how did you handle it?” To this, Sameera replied, “My biggest failure was giving in to depression after my first born. I didn’t fight it. It took me too long to realise I felt bad about my body and my image. I hid from the world and was worried about what people would think of me. I took therapy and homeopathy. I will never let that happen again.”
Another fan of hers asked, “How do you stay positive. That’s a really great thing which you have.” To this, Sameera said, “I really work hard at it. Sometimes I cry it out. I let go of fear, negative thoughts when they come. I always am in grace. I choose not to see what I don’t have, I only give thanks for what I have.”
Another one asked her, “How to stay body positive. I try to be busy to be positive, but eventually, people bring me down? She had replied, “The fact that you are letting people bring you down needs to change. You are only in control of your reaction you cannot change people. Most important is to own your flaws. Love yourself now and make body goals to achieve in your own timeframe.”
Earlier, the actress had given it back to those trolling her for gaining weight during pregnancy. She had said, “I want to ask people, who indulge in body shaming, you have also taken birth through your mom’s body, right? And after giving birth, did you ask your mom, is she still hot? Body shaming is very wrong and disgraceful. Pregnancy is a natural process. And not many people can be like Kareena Kapoor, who can look hot even after giving birth. I am very happy with my figure and enjoying my pregnancy.”
Sameera got married to Akshai Varde on January 21, 2014. The couple is already parents to a three-and-a-half year old son, who was born on May 25, 2015.
The actress made her bollywood debut with 2002 film Maine Dil Tujhko Diya and she went on to star in films like Darna Mana Hai, Plan, MusafirRace, De Dana Dan and Fool & Final, among others.
