Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty and her husband Raj Kundra has recently awarded the Champion of Change 2019 Award for their efforts towards encouraging people to take up the Swacch Bharat Abhiyan.
The actress get the award from former President Pranab Mukherjee on Monday.
Shilpa Shetty receives Champion of Change Award
The actress took to her Instagram to share the picture along with the award. She captioned it as, “Extremely humbled and honoured to receive the Champions of Change, 2019 award from our former President Shri #pranabmukherjee ji in Delhi today .
Will continue to do my duties a proud and responsible Indian citizen and urge all of you to do your bit in making our country cleaner and greener too.
Positive clean thoughts create positive and happy people and surroundings”
“I am really honoured to receive this award and I feel it is every citizen’s duty to keep their country clean. Cleanliness starts from the mind. When we keep our homes clean, then why not our country? This year I have planted 480 trees to offset my entire carbon footprint. It’s every citizen’s responsibility to take care of our precious planet not just for the present but also our future,” she said.
